    ATC is continuing its focus on information sharing as cities get ready for connected and autonomous transportation at the intersection of technology, data governance and urban design.

    Building on the previous panels in ATC’s Prepare Together data series covering Opportunities in Data Governance and Interoperability; Risks in Data – Mitigating Threats and Cybersecurity Concerns; and the third in the series is on:

    The Good Data in Action discussion is convening Canadian municipal administrators who are using community data to make smart decisions to improve the lives of citizens. They will share their success stories of how their data frameworks are setting the stage for future connectivity and mobility improvements in their communities.

        Executive Director, Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

        Peter Bruijns is the Executive Director of the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre focused on building up the Digital, Smart City, Advanced Manufacturing and Ag Tech components of the economy. The organization is charting an economic development course that factors in global issues. Understanding our global environment as a series of threats leading to potential opportunities is our innovation foundation.

        Peter came to the role as an experienced executive with extensive global management and business experience in Canada and China, and has been the CEO of an environmental air pollution company with operations in over 25 countries around the world. He has worked as a leader in health care, biotechnology, environmental technology, construction, economic development and as an entrepreneur.
